The Caledonian Society of Bermuda is pleased to announce that our next event will be our very first cinema screening in the Tradewinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) on Sunday, October 16th.
The chosen film is the 1949 classic, Whisky Galore, also known as Tight Little Island in the U.S. This comedy, set during World War II, is about Scottish islanders suffering from a wartime shortage of alcohol...until a shipload of whisky is stranded just off their shores! Next ensues a race against time to rescue the shipment before it is confiscated by officials. Lots of drinking on a small island...sound familiar?
As if the film itself isn't enough of a draw, our friends at Gosling's will raise your spirits even more by offering a sampling of whiskies prior to the screening. The whisky-tasting will begin at 6.15pm and the movie will start at 7pm. The running time of the film is around an hour and a half, leaving you plenty of time for dinner at Harbourfront afterwards.
Tickets are $20 and are available from www.premiertickets.bm - we look forward to seeing you there!
