Attention all Ball-goers, our dance practice session is coming up very soon! The free practice run is at Spanish Point Boat Club the Police Recreation Club, near Cedarbridge Academy in Devonshire, next Wednesday, November 23rd, from 7pm until 9.30pm to show you the basics and is always greatly enjoyed by those in attendance. There is no dress code so just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
Remember, this year is our 75th Anniversary so, to celebrate this landmark, the Society is pulling out all the stops to ensure it is a night to remember! In addition to the usual raffle, the Society will up the ante by hosting a silent auction, to help raise funds and awareness of another huge event taking place next year when the Atholl Highlanders will arrive on the island. This Scottish infantry regiment is Europe’s only legal private army and will be coming to take part in the celebrations of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday and participate in Bermuda’s first ever Highland Games.
We have a great selection of raffle prizes and silent auction items for you on the night. Items donated include a signed Celtic shirt, signed Rangers shirt, signed Scotland Rugby Union jersey, a Scott Gemmell print, a stay at Cambridge Beaches, Bacardi goodies, a family portrait from Mark Tatem Photography, Fairmont experiences. a round of golf at Riddell’s Bay and much more!
For anyone who wants to "take the elevator home", Fairmont Southampton are kindly offering special room rate of $149 for ball attendees.
