Pre-Ball Dance Practice

November seems to have flown by so we just wanted to remind you that our pre-Ball dance practice will be on November 21st (Wednesday next week).  This will be at the Police Recreation Club in Prospect from 7pm until 9.30pm.  Not only will this make sure you are confident of all the dance moves at the Ball but it is a great night out in itself.

 

The dance practice is mainly intended for ball-goers but anyone is welcome to join in so feel free to bring friends!

 

Our 2012 Ball is shaping up to be a great success.  We have already outsold the 2011 Ball, Pam Gray (the Caller who helped everything run so smoothly last year) is returning, Bacardi is sponsoring a glass of Martini Prosecco for each guest on arrival, and there will be plenty of raffle prizes, including a Weekend for Two at Fairmont Southampton.

Hope you have your tickets already!  We just wanted to give you a sneak preview of the menu for the Ball.  Please let us know in advance if you will be taking the vegetarian option or if you have any other dietary requirements:

Haggis, Neeps & Tatties with Onion Gravy

 

SECOND COURSE

Cullen Skink: Soup of Smoked Haddock, potatoes and Onions

 

THIRD COURSE

Roasted Ayrshire Quail filled with Black Pudding, Braised Red Cabbage and Sherry Vinegar Sauce

Or

Vegetarian: Creamy Forest Mushrooms with Arran Mustard Sauce, Rice Pilaf and Seasonal Vegetables

 

DESSERT

Caramel Shortbread

 

 

There is also a special room rate of $149 (plus grats) at the Fairmont Southampton for anyone who wants to stay over. Just tell them that you are attending the Caledonian Society of Bermuda Ball when you call to make your reservation.
