Caledonian Society of Bermuda - St. Andrew's Day Ball
Venue: Hamilton Princess & Beach Club
Date: Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at 6.30pm
Enjoy an unforgettable night of dressed-up dining and dancing at the Caledonian Society of Bermuda's Annual St. Andrew's Day Ball on Saturday, November 19th.
The event kicks off with a cocktail reception (cash bar) from 6.30pm until 7.30pm. You are then seated at 8pm for dinner, served after the Grand March and welcome by MC Mike Bishop.
The five-course dinner with wine will be followed by the ceilidh portion of the evening (Scottish dancing), with live music from the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band. Afterwards, you can continue to dance the night away with DJ Felix Tod until 2am.
The moves are easily picked up on the night and a caller will be on hand to make sure that everyone is at least going in the right direction. There will also be a free practice run at the Police Recreation Club in Prospect on the Wednesday before the Ball (November 16th from 7pm until 9.30pm). Not only will this show you the basics but it is a great night out in itself. **UPDATE: This will now run from 7.30pm at Spanish Point Boat Club.
The Ball is all about having fun while raising money for charity, so there is no need to stress about getting it absolutely right. This event always draws an international crowd, so is definitely not just for Scottish people!
Thanks to the very generous sponsorship from Butterfield & Vallis and Burrows Lightbourn Ltd, the ticket price has been reduced for 2016, so you have even more reason to come out and support the Society and our charitable causes.
Dress code is black tie and kilts are particularly encouraged.
Tickets are $150 each, including a welcome drink, five-course dinner with wine, and grats.
Tickets can be purchased for individuals, couples or whole tables (tables are either for 10 or 12 people). Ian Hind will be coordinating the seating arrangements and you can contact him at ihind@cityhall.bm. You can also pay for your tickets online at www.pTix.bm.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale on the night, so you could be going home with a fantastic prize.
