Enjoy an unforgettable night of dressed-up dining and dancing at the Caledonian Society of Bermuda's Annual St. Andrew's Day Ball on Saturday, November 25th.
The event kicks off with a cocktail reception (cash bar) from 6.30pm until 7.30pm. You are then seated at 8pm for dinner, served after the Grand March and Welcome.
The five-course dinner with wine will be followed by the ceilidh portion of the evening (Scottish dancing), with live music from the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band. Afterwards, you can continue to dance the night away with DJ Felix Tod until 2am.
The moves are easily picked up on the night and a caller will be on hand to make sure that everyone is at least going in the right direction. There will also be a free practice run at the Spanish Point Boat Club in Pembroke on the Wednesday before the Ball (November 22nd from 7pm until 9.30pm). Not only will this show you the basics but it is a great night out in itself. The Ball is all about having fun while raising money for charity, so there is no need to stress about getting it absolutely right. This event always draws an international crowd, so is definitely not just for Scottish people!
Thanks to the very generous sponsorship from Butterfield & Vallis and Burrows Lightbourn Ltd, the ticket price has been reduced for 2017, so you have even more reason to come out and support the Society and their charitable causes.
Dress code is black tie and kilts are particularly encouraged.
Tickets are $150 each, including a welcome drink, five-course dinner with wine, and grats.
Tickets can be purchased for individuals, couples or whole tables (tables are either for 10 or 12 people). Ian Hind will be coordinating the seating arrangements and you can contact him at ihind@cityhall.bm. Raffle tickets will also be on sale on the night, so you could be going home with a fantastic prize.
